Fishing Tour

Day 1		Arrival in El Calafate airport (at noon). Reception and shuttle to accommodation place. Lunch in the cabin. Fishing in Lake Roca (Los Glaciares National Park) until late in the afternoon. Return to accommodation place and dinner.

Day 2		Breakfast in the cabin and departure towards El Chalten. Lunch in that city and fishing in De las Vueltas River. Lake tour on a motorboat across Lake del Desierto from Punta Sur (South End) to Punta Norte (North End). Accommodation in a shelter. Fishing in the bay till dinner time.

Day 3		Breakfast in the shelter and departure towards the mouth of the Diablo River. Hiking tour across the forest. Fishing in that river till lunch time. Lunch in the countryside. Fishing all afternoon until sunset. Dinner at the shelter.

Day 4		Breakfast in the shelter and tour to Larga Lagoon across the forest. Fishing all day. Lunch in the countryside. Return to the shelter and dinner.

Day 5		Breakfast in the shelter and fishing in the bay until before midday. Motorboat shuttle to the southern end. Lunch at El Chalten and return to El Calafate. Dinner and accommodation in this city for the night.

Day 6		Breakfast in the cabin. Visit to the Perito Moreno Glacier. Lunch in the cabin. Departure towards the airport.

Characteristics of the Spots

De Las Vueltas River:
This is a narrow river with an important volume. Plenty of rainbow trout may be caught here, though they have a small size. It is ideal for fishing with dry flies.

Lake Del Desierto:
This is a small lake. Rainbow trout of an average weight of 800 grams to one kilo may be caught here. Its waters are crystal-clear.

Diablo River:
This is a mountain river ending in Lake del Desierto, where good specimens of an average weight of one kilo are caught. Ideal for wading.
